* I wish i never grew up

Today morning i felt its much colder outside. While driving to my office I saw a group of cats (maybe it was a family) sitting together and warming up. It looked like a cat family to me comprising of a dad, mom & 2 kittens. I didnt wana disturb them while taking this picture.

When i was a child, i always slept beside my mom. I was so much pampered by my parents becz i was born late. I was born 6 years after they got married. Mom was the only person who understood me when i was in my teens. I always believed my mom's presence would ward away bad dreams while sleeping. I believe all Mothers have historically fulfilled the primary role in the raising of their children.

But after I grew up, my dad became my best friend, we would discuss everything/issues. I knew if i was wrong from the look on his face. He never scolds me. Can you imagine, we go for Hindi movies together. My friends are his friends too......

When my parents thought its high time that i got married, i was worried if my would-be partner would be the same family kinda person.......But she turned out to be much much understanding & loving than me....i'm so happy when i see my parents loving her more than they express towards me.My parents .....my parents..........

i would have to write the whole day if i start writing about them......

I wish i never grew up and remained a kid all my life.....

I think of my family when i see these cats.......

i miss my family !

* i'm scared to have a Haircut/Shave !!

Its strange to say this at the age of 31, but from my childhood i have been having this fear of Having a Haircut. Whenever I see the scissor in his hands, my heart starts pumping faster....i fear he might cut of my ears. (FYI: God gave me large ears compared to the normal ones). I dont like the barber talking to someone or looking out of the window pane while cutting my hair. I fear he might get careless and his scissors might cut off a tip of my ear.

The worst scenario is when he has the shaving razor with him for shaving......i'm really really scared to show him my neck to have a shave......I have only had a shave once from the Mens Saloon. I wont let them do that ever again .........i do it myself at home.

What if I/he sneezes & slits my throat ......what if he pressed the razor a little hard on my skin....
From my childhood i'm scared of blood.....i can bear the pain but the sight of blood makes me scared. I dont know if everyone (or atleast someone who reads this) feels the same!

Yesterday evening i gathered up all my courage and went to the Mens Saloon. Thank God everything went well and i'm back with both my ears and without any wounds.

Is this fright due to the deep wound i had in my childhood while playing with my dad's razor?
My Childhood wound has left a deep scar on my right cheek.

Who created those razors?

* mallu stories = malayalee kathakall

This was forwarded to me by one of my college mates. i found it funny and thought of sharing it over my blog.
STORY :-
The Angel Gabriel came to the Lord and said 'I have to talk to you. We have some Malayalees up here in Heaven & they are causing problems. They're swinging on the pearly gates, my horn is missing, they are wearing lungis and saris instead of their white robes, they are riding Toyota Corolla's, Nissan Sunny & privileged ones driving Prado & Mercedes instead of the chariots, and they're selling their halos to people for discount prices. They refuse to keep the stairway to Heaven clear, since they keep crouching down midway eating samosas and drinking chai. Some of them are even walking around with just one wing & brewing illicit liquor!' The Lord said, 'Malayalees are Malayalees. Heaven is home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, give Satan a call.

' Satan answered the phone, 'Hello? Damn, hold on a minute.
' Satan returned to the phone, 'OK, I'm back. What can I do for you?
'Gabriel replied, 'I just wanted to know what kind of problems you're having down there.
' Satan says, 'Hold on again. I need to check on something.
' After about 5 minutes, Satan returns to the phone and said,'I'm back. Now what was the question?
' Gabriel said, 'What kind of problems are you having down there?
' Satan says, 'Man I don't believe this! Hold on.' This time Satan was gone at least 15 minutes. He returned and said, 'I'm sorry Gabriel, I can't talk right now.
"These Malayalees down here have put out the firein hell and are trying to install air conditioning!"

* viva telecom

Did u all know that the new website for viva telecom has started functioning. They are giving out free numbers for all its interested customers.
Viva starts with 55xxxxxx. Log on to www.viva.com.kw and get your free number today.
I myself got a fancy number for free (55x9x9x9)......if it was zain/wataniya, they would have demanded atleast KD 100 for my new number.
All I wish is that viva comes up with more interesting schemes for its customers.....maybe they could lower the tariff rates, or give the subscribers free sms options, or free incoming from the landphones....etc. I really wished that the mobile network companies have a tough competation as that in Saudi Arabia.
Viva has interesting offers in Saudi.........wish/hope its the same here!
Good luck viva !

* I love BEC (bahrain exchange company)

If any of you have been to BEC branches in Kuwait, you would have noticed tht they give you a token with a number on it. Then you have to be seated with patience and they start calling out the token numbers. I was at the BEC to buy some foreign currency.

Now,look at the customer service token i got.
lol...........its 143
I smiled when the filipino lady called "vinz-143"
maybe she said : "vinz, i love you".....

I wish i could see a mall riot.

* i'm frustrated

Dear Blogspere,
Sorry for my short comings.....

i haven't been in a good mood to write on my blog.
I'm a little irritated about the new appointment of a new GM
(a Jor**nian old man but a fox).
This new GM seems to be a new in Kuwait.He's just 12 months in Kuwait without any previous experience as a GM. He's in his mid 50's , very thin in physique with thick Index Glasses.
Lets name him" Mr.J"

Mr.J somehow pleased our Big Kuwaiti boss and took over the place of our GM. Mr.J has no idea what to do and has let down the pressure on all the staffs here. Everyone now hates the new rules & regulations from the new GM. We are no more busy as usual and everyone is confused with the new rules. I also noticed that everyone is busy chatting or doing their personal work. They were all forwarding emails and jokes. I saw some playing cards, pokers,pinball...etc on their PC.

I am planning to do something like this ........

I myself went to the Safat Alghanim on the 4th Ring road today during working hours (10am) and spent a good amount of time looking at the new products. No one even came to know where i was or enquired about me!
My earlier GM was a GEM!He was an arab and the same nationality as Mr.J. our old GM always kept the office busy and gave us a pat on our sholder and smiled if we did a good job. He even gave the staff an annual appreciation letter and a token of money as a gift. We all worked sincerely in those days even though our old GM wasnt bringing in
new projects/business. He had brought in soo much ideas for business but nothing seemed to make money.........we wanted him to succeed but towards to end he accepted defeat and one fine morning Mr.J turned up as a visitor here and then the new story begins.

I dont think this new GM can make anything better. The only new thing he did was appointed his son (lets call him Mr.O) in our same office as a Asst Business Development Manager (a spoiled kid who claims he's an IT engineer without any certificates). This new Mr.J & Mr.O has become a new threat to the Egyptian community here in our company. Mr.J & Mr.O never bothered to even talk to them......Everyone here in our office is busy posting their resume in www.bayt.com (including me).

I myself hate this place now.After posting my resume in bayt.com, i received a call last Monday and had a telephone interview. The lady at the other end of the phone seemed to be pleased with my conversation except for my demand on Basic Salary. Why should i go for a lesser salary when i have an experience of 6~7 years and have my own car. I don't expect her to call me again.

Our office was a non smoking office earlier, but Mr.J & Mr.O has made the Farash (tea boy) to bring in Ashtrays for all the tables/workstations. I'm afraid he wont ask us to being smoking. Today i saw some papers on the accountants table which was the list of all the monthly allowances being paid to the staffs here..........my assumption is Mr.J & Mr.O are planning to reduce/deduct/stop this to make more income out of this. When i asked the accountant why he had printed this, the innocent Egyptian accountant looked puzzled and helpless.........this face expressed the answer.

Today morning our HR Manager (Egyptian nationality) called all the office staffs personally and discussed his dissatisfaction & concern for the company management.It seems the backbone of the company has become week and we all know this company might close down within 1 year or less.

We even faced a huge loss during the stock market financial crisis. Our company had invested a tremendous amount of money on various stocks which were mainly well known companies & banks out of which one Kuwaiti bank fell on its knees!

All this has got me really pissed and we are the ones to face the consequences here. I really wish things turn out to be on the right track because i love this company whole heartedly. My dad had worked in this company for 15 years (now settled back and living a retired life) and we have gained the trust from our Kuwaiti bosses. Its very sad to say our Kuwaiti boss is no more interested to run this show and handed everything over to Mr.J & Mr.O.

I guess these issues reflect my mood.........
maybe i'm being too sincere and loyal....
maybe i shouldnt love the company i work for..........
maybe i should resign !

* i miss u darling, wish we were together !!

I miss you when something really good happens, because you are the one I want to share it with.
I miss you
when something is troubling me, because you are the one who understands me so well.
I miss you when I laugh and cry because i know that you are the one that makes my laughter grow and my tears disappear.
I miss you all the time,
but I miss you most when i lay awake at night and think of all the wonderful times we spent with each other; for those were some of the best times of my life !

* Souk Al Watiya

I saw those ready to stitch ladies salwar suits today at Souk Al Watiya @ Kuwait city. I found the colors and the arrangement very amusing........This shop is very narrow and hence displays all their Salwar collections in the verandah.I have never noticed this shop before.

Maybe this is a good business technique to attract indian women.......
